Pittsburgh, PA (Sports Network) - The Pittsburgh Penguins signed defenseman Alexandre Picard to a one-year contract on Tuesday. Picard's contract is a two-way deal worth $600,000 at the NHL level. The 25-year-old Picard had three goals and five assists in 43 games with the Montreal Canadiens last season. Picard has appeared in 236 career regular-season games for the Philadelphia Flyers, Tampa Bay Lightning, Ottawa Senators, Carolina Hurricanes and Canadiens, registering 19 goals and 46 assists.
